Ken Dilanian covers national security in Washington for the NBC News investigative unit — writing for the web, reporting for Nightly News and regularly appearing on MSNBC.  He previously wrote about intelligence and security for the Associated Press, the Los Angeles Times, USA Today and the Philadelphia Inquirer, where he was a foreign correspondent covering the Iraq war.  He graduated from Williams College in 1991 with a degree in political science and history.
